During a recent video challenge featuring the NCT DREAM member and INFINITE’s Dongwoo, netizens pointed out that Chenle appeared noticeably straight-faced.
Though Chenle smiled at the end of the video, his allegedly nonchalant demeanor during the dance was hit with harsh backlash.

As the criticism continues, a past instance featuring the entirety of NCT DREAM has resurfaced, fueling “bad attitude” accusations.
In 2021, NCT DREAM appeared on KBS Cool FM‘s Kiss the Radio, which was hosted by DAY6‘s YoungK at the time.
Due to their behavior during the broadcast, which included Chenle and Mark fooling around with things not related to the broadcast, many netizens criticized their “insincere” attitudes. Many pointed claimed their behavior was rude to YoungK, who debuted a year before.
With the recent controversy, some have criticized the group as a whole for having “bad attitudes,” citing an alleged lack of change in behavior years later.
