In October last year, before tickets had even been announced, organizer EVERLINE pulled the plug on Soojin’s highly anticipated Summer Daze North America tour. The company cited “unavoidable circumstances,” but provided no further details.

Thankfully, the tour was later rescheduled as Re:Summer Daze, with 15 dates planned across the US and Canada in what was set to be Soojin’s biggest international run yet. However, that tour sadly met the same fate.

In August this year, shortly before the release of Soojin’s latest comeback with “Baditude,” organizer Abridge announced the complete cancellation of Re:Summer Daze in North America. They claimed “unforeseen circumstances” as the reason, clarifying that the decision was unrelated to Soojin’s health.

Unfortunately, the pattern continued this month. On November 9, Soojin’s agency, BRD Entertainment, announced the cancellation of her Shanghai fan meeting, Meet You, which had been scheduled for November 15. The agency blamed local circumstances among other factors.

And now, just days later, another cancellation has followed. On November 20, organizer DLLM announced that Soojin’s Re:Summer Daze concert in Hong Kong (scheduled for December 12) will not go ahead due to “unavoidable circumstances.” The organizer created a new X account specifically to share the news.

Some have pointed to ticket sales as a potential reason. Two and a half months before Re:Summer Daze’s North America dates were set to begin, overall sales sat below 50%. Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Atlanta had sold less than 30% of their available tickets, while Dallas had moved just 9.5% of its 905-seat capacity.

Regardless of the reason, fans are now directing their frustration at BRD Entertainment, criticizing the agency for the lack of promotion around Soojin’s activities and their minimal communication about the recurring cancellations.

BRD Entertainment has yet to issue its own statement on the latest cancellation or the repeated issues.
