Son recently appeared as a guest on Heo Young Man’s Food Travel, where she toured Gil-Dong, her native neighborhood, with host Heo Young Man, and enjoyed a meal together. She also shared fascinating stories from different phases of her life.

When Heo asked how long she had attended her school in Gil-dong, she revealed that she completed all three there—elementary, middle, and high school. The host then jokingly asked whether male students were lining up outside her school just to catch a glimpse, referring to her standout appearance.

In response, Son Dam Bi shared a baffling anecdote. The actress mentioned that she used to attend an all-girls school, but boys from nearby schools would wait for her at the village bus stop. But this popularity came with a cost. Since her mother was a strict parent, she cut Son’s hair super short. The actress admitted that she “basically shaved it off” with scissors.

She also had a 6 pm curfew, and the boys who lingered near her house also faced consequences. The actress recalled that her mother would splash water on the boys and yell at them for waiting near her house, adding that she had a tough time in her middle and high school.
