Popular Korean Dating Reality Contestant Exposes Husband For Alleged Cheating
Kim Ji Yeon from Love Catcher has even exposed her husband, baseball player Jeong Cheol Won, for alleged infidelity.
On January 25, 2026, Kim Ji Yeon hinted at the breakdown of her marriage with Jeong Cheol Won through her personal social media. The two announced their marriage in March 2024 following a premarital pregnancy, and welcomed a son in August of the same year. Just one month ago, they held a belated wedding ceremony, yet have now decided to divorce.
In particular, Kim Ji Yeon claimed that despite being a dual-income household, she had to handle all housework and childcare alone, and that most of Jeong Cheol Won’s annual salary was sent to his parents’ family. She added that although Jeong Cheol Won said he would provide a high living allowance and therefore claimed he did not need to do housework, he later did not provide the allowance on claims that he had actually spent more money on the wedding himself.
As rumors of divorce spread rapidly, Jeong Cheol Won told Ilgan Sports that he would “refrain from speaking for now for the sake of [his] son.” Meanwhile, netizens sent tips to Kim Ji Yeon about his alleged cheating.
“I’m also dating a Lotte pitcher and Jeong Cheol Won brought women to his dorm. I’ve heard he called women to join group trips.”
Kim Ji Yeon claimed to have known.
“I actually knew all of this, but I kept Pandora’s box closed with the single belief that he was the father of my child. These things are nothing. What matters is how someone like this can say they’re doing things ‘for the child.'”
Kim Ji Yeon, born in 1996, graduated from Hanyang University’s Department of Korean Dance and became known as an influencer after appearing on Love Catcher. Jeong Cheol Won, born in 1999, is a pitcher for the Lotte Giants.
