“Produce 101” Choreographer Bae Yoon Jung Apologizes After Being Called Out For Illegally Streaming “Penthouse”

She has apologized.

Choreographer Bae Yoon Jung, who made her name known through the Produce 101 series, has apologized after being called out for illegally streaming SBS drama, Penthouse.

Over the weekend, Bae Yoon Jung shared a series of posts on her Instagram story of herself watching Penthouse with her husband at home.

However, netizens quickly noticed the Chinese text at the bottom right corner of the screen, which brought users to a Chinese website to illegally stream and download Korean dramas with Chinese subtitles. Many soon suspected that she wasn’t watching through proper methods, but instead, streamed it through illegal sites.

Bae Yoon Jung has since deleted the posts from her Instagram and has also released an apology for her actions.

Hello, this is choreographer Bae Yoon Jung.

I am sorry for worrying many people about illegally downloading dramas with my recent posts on Instagram.

What happened was my husband was searching for television show replays on his phone, and he accessed one of the websites that was on the search results. He didn’t know it was illegal, so he connected it to the television, and I uploaded a post using what I saw streaming.

I would like to offer my sincerest apologies to the parties involved and to everyone concerned. As a person in the same entertainment industry, I feel ashamed and sorry for my careless behavior. In the future, I will never let the same thing happen again. I will be more careful. I’m sorry.
