Produce 48’s Lee Kaeun Leaves Pledis Entertainment

She is leaving Pledis.

Pledis Entertainment has announced that After School member and Produce 48 contestant Lee Kaeun will be leaving their company after she decided not to re-sign a new contract.

In their statement, they thanked her for her time, and announced a special gift for her fans who have been supporting her this entire time.

Hello, this is Pledis Entertainment.

First, we would like to thank all of the fans for all of their love and support for Kaeun, a Pledis Entertainment artist. We would like to announce that her exclusive contract with us expires on July 6, 2019, and we will not be her management agency anymore.

Kaeun joined After School in 2012 and has been a multi-talented artist for the past 8 years. We are grateful that she has always been doing her best. We discussed with her about a contract renewal following the expiration of her current contract. Both sides had a feeling of mutual trust and respect, and we held long discussions.

However, we failed to reach an agreement for a new contract due to differences between the two sides, and we decided on a beautiful farewell. We are once again thankful to Kaeun for trusting us and being with us for a long time.

Pledis Entertainment will continue to provide Kaeun with management and support until she finds her new agency.

Before her contract is over, Kaeun will release a new single on July 5 to thank her fans for always supporting her. We sincerely apologize to the fans who have been waiting for Kaeun for a long time, and we hope you continue to show interest and love for her. We will sincerely support her future activities as well.
