Prosecution Quickly Responds To Former NCT Taeil’s Prison Sentence
On July 16, media outlet Star Today reported that the prosecution and the two people indicted with former NCT‘s Taeil submitted an appeal to the court. Taeil’s appeal has not been confirmed yet.

Previously, on July 10, he was sentenced to three years and six months in prison during his first trial. The court also requested that they complete a 40-hour sexual violence treatment program.
However, netizens were shocked at his prison sentence and felt it was too light considering his crime.

Previously, prosecution demanded seven years in prison and ten years of employment restrictions for the defendants, including Taeil, before the first trial.
During the final statement before sentencing, Taeil stated, “I deeply regret the hurt I caused the victim and apologize to everyone disappointed by this incident. If you show leniency, I will consider this my last chance at life and do my best to contribute to society.”
