“KPop Demon Hunters” — Is Netflix’s Latest Animated Flick Worth Your Time?
KPop Demon Hunters is an animated action-comedy film from Sony Pictures Animation that combines the world of K-pop with supernatural adventure. Set in a stylish, alternate-reality version of Seoul, the movie follows a world-famous girl group who live a double life — by day, they’re global pop stars, but by night, they secretly battle demons threatening the world. Directed by Maggie Kang (The LEGO Ninjago Movie) and Chris Appelhans (Wish Dragon), the film promises a unique blend of K-Pop glamour, sisterhood, Korean mythology, and fast-paced action.
The movie follows Huntrix, made up of Rumi, Mira, and Zoey. They sing to collect the happiness of their fans to create the Hon-moon, which will protect the earth.
Enter the villains — The Saja Boys, who are demons in disguise, bent on stealing the souls of Huntrix’s fans.
The movie had sparked great anticipation before it was even out. But how did it do upon release?

Many agreed that the catchy tunes and unique concept of demon slayers in K-Pop was a breath of fresh air.

We won’t spoil the plot, but it does contain touching elements of self-acceptance and love.

Some felt that the ending was rather abrupt, a sentiment echoed by many.
I just watched Kpop demon hunters a couple of hours ago and I would like to say that I loved this movie. The visuals, the story, the music, everything is amazing. But I didn't like the ending, I feel everything ended so fast.

All-in-all, an easy watch for those searching for their next in-meal movie. Do note that romance takes a backseat in this one, so if you’re planning on shipping hunters and demons, you might have to wait for a sequel…which may or may not happen. No mather what, whether you’re a longtime K-pop stan, an animation fan, or just here for the chaos of idols fighting demons in heels, this film promises a wild, stylish ride worth your time.
