The Real Reasons Behind Park Na Rae And Her Seemingly Hostile Split From Her Former Agency

Broadcaster Park Na Rae and her former agency JDB Entertainment reportedly had differences over their contract renewal.

According to OSEN on the 15th, when Park Na Rae discussed contract renewal with JDB Entertainment last year, there were disagreements regarding the contract fee and the direction of her activities.

It is known that the main difference between Park Na Rae and JDB Entertainment was not the contract fee but rather the direction of her activities. JDB Entertainment stated, “The differences in work-related opinions were bigger than those about money. (Park Na Rae) initially asked for a high contract fee, but that was sufficiently negotiated later.”

It was also reported that Park Na Rae and JDB Entertainment’s CEO Park had a verbal argument during private conversations. Ultimately, due to conflicting views on her career direction, Park Na Rae ended her nine-year relationship with JDB Entertainment.

The contract renewal issue between Park Na Rae and JDB Entertainment resurfaced recently. Amid revelations involving Park Na Rae and her former manager, the former manager, A, explained that Park Na Rae and JDB Entertainment tried to keep them amid allegations of inflated career credentials.

Notably, A claimed, “At that time, Park Na Rae requested recordings to secure weaknesses of JDB Entertainment CEO Park, and the recordings were sent to Park Na Rae and her boyfriend. They are still being kept,” causing a stir.

Meanwhile, Park Na Rae’s former managers have filed a lawsuit seeking about ₩100 million KRW (about $68,400 USD) in damages, citing workplace bullying, special injury, proxy prescriptions, unpaid production costs, and other grievances during their tenure. In response, Park Na Rae filed a complaint against her former managers for attempted extortion and embezzlement related to work.
