Red Velvet’s Irene Admits Watching aespa’s First Concert Made Her “Tear Up A Bit”

Aespa just held the first day of their long-awaited first solo concert since their debut, the 2023 aespa 1st Concert ‘SYNK: HYPER LINE.’

In attendance for the first day of the concert were fellow SM Entertainment idols Red Velvet‘s Irene and Yeri.

Fans were excited to see Red Velvet members, who recently collaborated with aespa for the SMTOWN song “Beautiful Christmas,” supporting their hoobaes.

And after the concert, Irene messaged fans to share that she’d gotten emotional during the concert.

Yeah, I was at aespa’s concert.

It reminded me of the very first concert for our Red Room tour.

It made me tear up a bit.

She explained that seeing aespa’s first concert reminded her of Red Velvet’s first concert, Red Room.

Red Room was initially supposed to be held for two days on August 19 and 20, 2017.

But fan demand was so high, with the website crashing for ticket sales, that a third day was added.

The concert was full of memorable moments for both Red Velvet and ReVeluvs, so fans were especially endeared to hear that Irene was thinking about it.
