Red Velvet’s Irene, Joy, And Yeri Test Positive For COVID-19

Get well soon, girls.

Red Velvet‘s Irene, Joy, and Yeri have all tested positive for COVID-19, leading to the cancellation of the group’s special live event.

SM Entertainment shared the three Red Velvet members’ positive diagnosis in a statement to iMBC.

Hello, this is SM Entertainment.

Red Velvet’s Irene, Joy, and Yeri tested positive through a pre-emptive self-test, and their positive result was confirmed [via PCR test] over the weekend.

Irene, Joy, and Yeri have completed their second round of vaccinations, and are currently being treated at home without any symptoms. Seulgi and Wendy underwent an additional test and tested negative.

As a result, Red Velvet’s special live ‘2022 The ReVe Festival : Prologue’ that was scheduled for March 19-20 will inevitably be temporarily postponed, tickets will be refunded, and the new date will be determined after considering the artists’ health and the COVID-19 situation.

We would also like to inform you that Red Velvet’s new mini album ‘The ReVe Festival 2022 – Feel My Rhythm’ will be released as scheduled on March 21.

We will continue to strictly comply with the COVID-19 quarantine guidelines and do our best to focus on the recovery and health of our artists, as their health and safety is our number one priority.

Thank you.
