Shinhwa’s Minwoo and Shin Hye Sung join Mnet’s “Boys24” as coaches
Mnet is gearing up to broadcast their next boy group show, Boys24, and it was recently confirmed that two members of legendary group Shinhwa will be joining as coaches.
According to an Mnet official on May 12th, “Lee Minwoo and Shin Hye Sung will be starring in ‘Boys24’ as coaches,” adding that they are experts in their own professions.
As members of one of the most successful idol boy groups in K-Pop, Minwoo and Shin Hye Sung are the perfect coaches for the male competitors that will be taking part of the upcoming show. They will not only teach them vocal and dancing techniques but lessons in teamwork as well.
Boys24 will begin with 49 males divided into groups as they compete with one another through several missions until the final 24 are chosen. “The final 24 members of ‘Boys24’ will be able to hone their talents through a systematic and professional idol training process.”
Mnet has invested 25 billion won in the production cost of this year-long project.
The first episode of Boys24 is set to air on June 18th at 11:30pm KST via Mnet.
