Two “Single’s Inferno 3” Contestants Know Each Other Already, But They Are Frenemies

Netflix‘s hit Korean dating show, Single’s Inferno, is back with its third season. The show focuses on a group of single men and women who become stranded on a deserted island, “Inferno,” and can only escape to “Paradise” (a resort) if they reciprocate feelings with one another and become a couple.

At the end of Episode 1, it is revealed that there is a second Inferno with five other contestants. In Episode 2, we are introduced to two additional women: Yu Si Eun and Yun Ha Jeong.
The moment they saw each other, they exchanged knowing glances and giggled softly. They recognized each other. Si Eun and Ha Jeong confirmed they knew each other already in their individual interviews. Ha Jeong explained that Si Eun is her friend’s older sister. So they’re close already.

Si Eun said, “I was glad to see her, but I try not to let it show.” Yet, she added, “I do think I’ve got a lovely charm she lacks. That, and I have a bubblier personality. That’s what I think.” Likewise, Ha Jeong said, “I think I’m classier than Si Eun, and I have more presence than she does.”

Sure enough, while eating their first meal in the cafeteria with the male contestants, Ha Jeong would laugh and even scowl at things Si Eun did or said. This friendship instantly turns sour, and based on the first three episodes, it appears they might continue to like the same male contestants.
