SM Entertainment Group Accused Of “Avoiding” Music Show Encores
A viral post has sparked heated discussion over SM Entertainment’s rookie girl group Hearts2Hearts, with some accusing the group of deliberately skipping encore stages after winning on music shows.

The post — which now has more than 60,000 views — questioned why the members haven’t been performing live encores despite winning on programs like The Show.

It’s not like “Focus” went viral or anything, and if it’s not a cable show like The Show, it’s probably hard for them to win first place. It’s not like their schedule is packed either. They pre-recorded the performance, so why skip the encore again??
Aside from the four vocalists, are they worried members like Ian, Juun, A-na, or Jiwoo might mess up, like what happened with ILLIT or LE SSERAFIM?

However, many netizens quickly stepped in to defend the group, explaining that the absence of encore stages was due to overlapping schedules rather than avoidance.

Many claimed the group had radio and television appearances during The Show broadcast times. Others added that Hearts2Hearts have already proven their live vocal abilities at recent university festivals.

- “They had other schedules. The first time, they had an SBS radio schedule, and this time, a KBS music program during The Show’s timeslot. So yes, they really did have conflicting schedules. Also, I just checked, ‘Focus’ is currently ranked #35 on the Top 100 chart, so it seems to be slowly rising. Plus, The Show broadcast was pre-recorded, and they didn’t attend the live airing because they were filming for another show, Open Concert, at a different station.”
- “They did perfectly fine performing live at university festivals, lol. Every time a new rookie girl group shows up, people start hating again.”
- “They had schedules, that’s why. Stop acting up just to criticize them.”
- “They went to Open Concert. If you’ve seen their university festival performances, they do fine live. It’s not like they’re trying to avoid it.”
- “They literally said they had another schedule, you idiot. Do you really think SM would go, ‘Oh nooo, we can’t sing live, please save us’? Get real.”
