Popular Idol-Turned-Actress Suffers Extremely Low Ticket Sales, Sparking Shock
Girls’ Generation’s Yoona is receiving unexpected attention after seat maps for her upcoming fan meeting began spreading online.
Despite starring in one of this year’s most talked-about K-Dramas, Bon Appétit Your Majesty, her event is drawing surprise for an entirely different reason.

The fan meeting, scheduled for December 20 in Seoul, became a hot topic on Pann after a screenshot of the seating chart went viral with over 60,000 views. The map shows that large portions of the venue remain completely unsold, with only scattered sections filled on both floors.

With the event only weeks away, the turnout appears far lower than many expected for one of Korea’s most recognizable idols-turned-actresses.

Yoona’s fan meeting looks completely empty.
Even back in her Girls’ Generation days, she always had good public recognition but never really had a strong core fandom.
Even during their peak, her fanbase was smaller than Jessica’s and Tiffany’s.— Viral post on Pann
Debates quickly grew as fans and non-fans alike shared their thoughts on Yoona’s long-standing popularity. While she has always enjoyed strong public recognition, many pointed out that her dedicated fandom has historically been smaller than those of other Girls’ Generation members. Some argued that her focus on acting over idol activities may have weakened her core following over time.

- “Public popularity and core fandom are totally different things.”
- “It’s that small, and they’re calling that a fan meeting…”
- “Maybe it’s because Yoona shifted more toward acting? Taeyeon still has a really solid core fandom.”
- “Just from looking at it, it seems like a small-scale event.”
- “It must be really hard for female solo artists to build a strong fandom.”
