Soccer Star Son Heung Min Refuses To Hold Fan’s Phone To Take Picture

He’s being commended, though.

Soccer star Son Heung Min, captain of Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur and the South Korea national team, is going viral.

Son Heung Min was captured meeting fans. He appeared to be accepting photo and autograph requests…

…until one fan attempted to hand him her phone for him to take a selfie of them together. He politely declined. Son Heung Min still took the photo with her but on one condition. She had to hold her own phone to take the picture.

Yet, he happily took another fan’s phone to take a selfie with her. The reason is the phone difference!

Son Heung Min is under contract with Korean tech company Samsung. So, he shouldn’t be seen holding the competitor brand, Apple‘s iPhone.

The video went viral with 5.2M views at the time of writing. Netizens commended him for his loyalty.

Likewise, BTS‘s Suga, also an ambassador for Samsung, famously rejected ARMYs’ phones unless they were Samsung, telling them, “No iPhone! Only Galaxy!” We need Suga and Son Heung Min to collaborate on a commercial.
