  • “Son Heung Min, please explain. I plead because a young, 22-year-old Lee Kang In is facing all of the backlash alone. And I feel terrible for him. Even if there wasn’t punching involved, what he did was wrong. Still, the media is tearing Lee apart—like a pack of hyenas. Please, Son. As captain, and as someone who as involved in the situation, please let people know what actually happened. Tell us the truth. We don’t need the KFA to tell us. We need your version of the story. I beg you.”
  • “Unless you’re looking to destroy Lee Kang In forever, I think it’d be best for you to explain yourself. Don’t you think so? Is there a reason you’re keeping silent all this time? Surely, the media is reporting an exaggerated version of the story. Shouldn’t you fix that? It’s not right for you to not say anything.”
  • “You’re one of the few who were involved in the situation in question. And you’re the captain of the national team. I think you should let us know what your side of the story is, Son. All the athletes named to have been a part of the situation are staying quiet. Is it because you all agree with what the public is starting to say about Lee Kang In? Makes me question your intentions…”
  • “Not you posting an ad in the middle of all the sh*t that’s going on, LMAO. Have you gone insane for money? I hope you never play for the national team again. Just stick to shooting more advertisements instead.”
  • “Heung Min, speak up. Don’t let the KFA do the talking for you.”
  • “I can’t believe you’d post an ad right now… What kind of a captain are you?”
  • “You’re the one who tipped The Sun off, aren’t you? You’re the one who single-handedly destroyed Korean soccer.”
    • “Shut the f*ck up and get outta here.”
  • “Sigh. I don’t even want to watch the Tottenham matches anymore. Are you happy, as the captain, now that your national team hoobae athletes are under fire? In fact, I don’t think I’ll watch a national team match ever again, either. I’m so done. Pffft.”
    • “You probably never watch the matches anyway. What are you, Lee Kang In’s mom?”

Some showed disappointment at the fact that Son even uploaded an ad during this controversial time.
