“Running Man” Actress-Turned-Entrepreneur Admits Her Brand Is Already Struggling
In December 2024, actress Song Ji Hyo officially launched her lingerie and fragrance brand, Nina.Ssong, with the sexiest photoshoot that showed off all her hard work building the business.
Two months in, though, things are not going too well for the actress-turned-entrepreneur—said her Running Man teammates. In the latest episode of the SBS show, Yoo Jae Suk mentioned that Song Ji Hyo is “very worried” about the state of Nina.Ssong.
She is very worried because she only gets one or two orders a day.

In response, Haha added that businesses don’t blow up overnight and that she should keep at it. Yoo Jae Suk agreed and advised Song Ji Hyo that business owners are “in it for the long run,” and that she shouldn’t lose hope. Keeping it playful, Haha even mentioned how “viral” Song Ji Hyo went for her photoshoot—especially in one of the more daring poses—and hinted that there is definitely room for growth!
Keeping her spirit up, Song then said that she’ll keep aiming for success.

After the Running Man episode aired, the Nina.Ssong brand’s Instagram shared a glimpse of Song Ji Hyo hard at work. In a clip captioned “Fabric check,” the actress was seen checking out different types of materials.

Yet, Korean netizens weren’t too sure about the brand quite yet. Also taken aback by “free advertising” on the program, netizens pointed out that the actress will have to try harder.
- “Has Running Man turned into a show for promoting celebrities’ businesses on TV? They get paid hundreds of KRW per episode, so why are they advertising for free?”
- “Looking at the number of reviews that her shop has, it does seem to be struggling. But the brand doesn’t really offer a lot of designs and, more importantly, it’s not even made in Korea.”
- “It’s because it’s expensive.”
- “The prices are kind of high…”
- “People wouldn’t buy what they don’t actually want to wear.”
