Actress Elle Fanning Lived Her Fangirl Dreams Meeting The “Squid Game” Cast But So Did Another Hollywood A-Lister… Leonardo DiCaprio

Everyone is rightly obsessed with “Squid Game!”

Since the Netflix series Squid Game first aired, fans were shocked to see the unexpected popularity it gained from viewers worldwide, most of whom had probably never watched a K-Drama before. In particular, with the rising popularity, the show’s cast members have seen their fame rise dramatically, and they have become global superstars.

Alongside magazine covers, huge television interviews, and more, the cast has been invited to huge events in both Korea and America. The three main actors Lee Jung Jae, Jung Ho Yeon, and Park Heo Soo recently attended the LAMCA event in Los Angeles.

The event was attended by some of the biggest names in entertainment, and alongside BLACKPINK‘s Jennie, there was an array of Hollywood stars, and many of them wanted to take pictures with the Squid Game cast. Two of those were Elle Fanning and Leonardo DiCaprio.

During the event, Elle Fanning was deemed the “Thanos” of Squid Game, collecting selfies with all the cast. The caption, “highlight of the night,” showcased just how much influence and popularity the cast has gained.

Even Leonardo DiCaprio got in on the action after Lee Jung Jae, who plays Seong Gi Hun, shared a picture of the two of them on Instagram.

However, despite Lee Jung Jae seemingly being a true fan by getting a photo with DiCaprio, it seems as if the admiration might have worked both ways. Elle Fanning recently appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Show, where she spoke about the moment she saw the cast at the event.

I am a huge Squid Game fan. You have to watch it. The cast of Squid Game was there, so it was my mission. I was like, ‘I am getting a selfie with the cast.’ And I was so excited because I am such a huge fan.

She then explained that she was with Leonardo DiCaprio, and she was extremely excited about being around the cast. However, she explained that while Elle and her friend were freaking out, he was trying to stay calm by saying, “Guys, like act cool, relax.”

Yet, as soon as Elle explained why they were so excited, Leondardo DiCaprio definitely had a relatable reaction.

We were like, ‘It’s Squid Game.’ When he saw them, he was like, ‘It is? Where?’ So he was like excited as well.

Alongside the two Hollywood stars, even artist Lil Nas X shared a picture of himself with Jung Ho Yeon, and it seems like everyone was lining up to get photos with all of the cast!

As expected, even some of the biggest movie stars in the world have fallen in love with the cast of Squid Game.

Yet, it isn’t the first time their fame has been unprecedented. Since the show started, all of the cast’s Instagram followers have gone up massively, and Jung Ho Yeon is even the most followed K-Drama actress. In an interview, Anupam Tripathi, who plays Ali, shared that the show has led him to get calls for commercials and even Hollywood.
