Staff Member Names “Bon Appétit, Your Majesty” Actor In Viral Letter About His Real Personality
A popular actor from the ongoing hit K-Drama Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, has won high praise from the public after a K-Drama staff member recently shared his quiet act of kindness.

The actor in question is Choi Gwi Hwa (also known as Choi Guy Hwa), who plays Prince Je San in the K-Drama.

The story was originally shared online on September 27 by a user identified as “A,” who revealed that she has been a K-Drama staff member for over ten years. The OP (original poster) revealed that after working the grueling job for so many years, she was diagnosed with cancer. At that time, she was already paying for her mother’s medical bills and keeping the household running on her own. So, with the added cost of the surgery for her cancer, she was caught between a rock and a hard place.

When Choi Gwi Hwa learned about her situation, he generously paid for her surgery, helping her recover her health. The OP also mentioned that while she was undergoing treatment, the actor kept checking in on her and her mother, and even refused her offer to repay him.

Though the OP is not working K-Drama production jobs anymore, she stated that she was determined to return on set as a staff member someday to work on a project with Choi again.
Choi Gwi Hwa’s agency later confirmed that the post shared on the community site was true. It was also brought up during the actor’s recent appearance on Go So Young’s YouTube show, Pubstaurant. He tried to downplay the gesture, saying, “I simply did what I could to help,” adding that he still keeps in touch with the staff member.

Despite being known for his villainous roles, Choi Gwi Hwa’s completely opposite real personality has touched the hearts of netizens. Meanwhile, the actor is set to appear in the upcoming Disney+ series The Murky Stream, which will premiere on September 26.
