Singer Ailee revealed the process of her in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment, sharing that her physical condition has been challenging.
On the 13th, a video showed Ailee’s daily life as she recovered after the egg retrieval procedure.
Her husband, Choi Si Hoon, turned on the camera and said, “I’m really worried because my wife can’t sleep well and isn’t eating properly.” He gave Ailee a bouquet whose flower language symbolizes “miracle” to encourage her. He then explained their current situation, saying, “It’s the fourth day after the egg retrieval. After the procedure, she was prescribed medication, but she’s been dealing with constant gas, making it hard for her to move or sleep.”
Choi said, “She was struggling to walk, but I thought she needed to move a bit for digestion, so we tried going for a walk near the house.”
However, the walk didn’t last long. He expressed regret, saying, “We couldn’t walk far because her abdominal pain got too severe, so we decided to go back.”
When Ailee complained, “I think I haven’t been able to use the bathroom for five days,” Choi responded, “I feel relieved that I can be by her side when she’s going through such hardship. It will be even tougher once she gets pregnant and gives birth. I’m learning little by little what I can do to help.”
Ailee married Choi Si Hoon, a businessman and former actor three years her junior, last year. They are currently preparing for IVF to have children.
