Stray Kids Makes History At One Of The World’s Largest Music Festivals
Stray Kids are set to headline the September 11 performance at Rock in Rio, a large-scale music festival held from September 4-7 and 11-13, 2026 (local time) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
With that, Stray Kids becomes the first K-pop artist to headline the festival.
Regarded as one of the world’s largest music festivals, Rock in Rio started in Rio de Janeiro in 1985 and has since been held in Lisbon, Portugal; Madrid, Spain; and Las Vegas, USA. Legendary artists such as Queen, Guns N’ Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Muse have headlined the festival. Stray Kids’ selection as the first-ever K-pop performer and headliner at Rock in Rio reaffirms the group’s prominent status.

Stray Kids have previously headlined several major international festivals, including Lollapalooza Paris in July 2023; I-Days Milano and BST Hyde Park London in July 2024; and Lollapalooza Chicago in August 2024, serving as festival highlights.
Their world tour concluded in October at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium, attracting tens of thousands at venues globally. As part of this tour, they held their debut solo concert in Rio de Janeiro at Estádio Nilton Santos last April, drawing over 55,000 fans. Returning to Rio after about a year and five months, they are expected to deliver a performance worthy of their “stage Michelin” reputation, eagerly anticipated by global audiences.
Stray Kids continued their unstoppable momentum with this year’s album releases. Their fourth studio album, KARMA, released on August 22, reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart dated September 6, making them the first artist in the chart’s 70-year history to debut at No. 1 with seven consecutive works.
Their SKZ IT TAPE “DO IT,” released on November 21, is also achieving remarkable results. The new release topped the Worldwide iTunes album chart for four consecutive days (November 21-24), achieved million-selling status on its release day according to Hanteo Chart, and dominated the weekly physical album chart (Nov 17-23, 2025) and the Circle Chart weekly retail album chart (Nov 16-22, 2025). The track “Do It” entered Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global Chart at No. 11 on November 21, setting a new personal best, and took the top spot on the Top Songs Debut Global Chart (Nov 21-23, 2025), drawing widespread attention.
