The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom, thanked their fandom, ELF, for recommending the song to them. He approved of the group’s fun and relevant lyrics in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thank you, ELF, for sharing [Super Junior’s] new song “#HouseParty” with us! #SUPERJUNIOR, you’re on-point there! Indeed, we still need to maintain precautionary measures against #COVID-19 to protect each other & control this pandemic.

— Tedros Adhanom

He shared how grateful he is that such an influential artist is being a good example for the public: “Thank you for reminding us through your music.”

The official account of the World Health Organization (Western Pacific) re-tweeted Tedros’ post with a series of clapping emojis.

The lyrics of “House Party” encourage listeners to “protect each other” by socially distancing. It maintains that everyone can have fun even without being in each other’s physical presence.

Let’s put aside our feelings of wanting to be together for a while
This is my house party
Yeah, according to the newly created rule
Great manners to protect each other
This is my house party

— Super Junior

It directly mentions the new normal of the world where people now interact virtually.

The world where everyone is connected without any physical contact.

They denounced people who gather for parties, attend concerts, and fail to wear masks. If one breaks the rules, he will face the consequences—and Super Junior isn’t shy to remind their listeners to stay alert and conscious of their actions.

Stuck at home
It is dangerous outside for the time being
Nevertheless, you act out
Then you get caught
No words are needed
Put your excuses aside
No words can comfort
Freedom is not free, you messed up

— Super Junior

In the group’s own words, “We do what we need to do. We’re all in this together.”
