TEEN TOP Fans Outraged Over Upcoming Album’s Track List, Which Includes A “Sped Up” Version Of The Title Song

Recently, TEEN TOP fans got the exciting announcement that the K-Pop group would be having their first comeback in four years, after their last album was released in June 2019. While only four members — Chunji, Niel, Ricky, and Changjo — remain after the departure of C.A.P earlier this year, it’s still great to hear that the group is (mostly) still together and even working on music together!

However, on June 26 when the official track list for their upcoming album, 4SHO, was shared, fans’ excitement turned to disappointment and even outrage upon realizing how little new music was actually on it.

The album, which is set to release on July 4, includes a total of five songs. While that sounds normal for a K-Pop EP, once you take a deeper look at the songs themselves, it’s easy to see why fans are so frustrated.

The track list includes the title song, “HWEEK”, along with the new B-side track “Next To You”. And that’s it as far as new songs go. The third track on the album is a 2023 remake of their 2013 song “Missing You”, so it’s not actually a new song.

Along with that, there’s an instrumental of the title song “HWEEK”, and finally… A sped-up version of that same song finishes out the five-track album.

You would think that after four years without a comeback, the group’s label TOP Media would have plenty of new songs for TEEN TOP to produce and release for the fans that have waited for so long. But the fandom’s disappointment is evident on social media, where they are overwhelmingly criticizing the label for basically only releasing two new songs.

The track list for 4SHO even became the topic of a post on Reddit, where fans and netizens alike share their anger about the situation.
