Third Generation Idols’ Heartbreaking Comments In First YouTube Content After Members Leave Company
At the end of 2024, Woollim Entertainment suffered huge losses by losing two major groups at the same time, revealing that many of the members had chosen not to renew their contracts.
One group was Golden Child.
Earlier, three members, Tag, Jibeom, and Bomin, had already chosen not to renew their contracts and left the group.
Yet, two members chose to stay with the company, and that was Jangjun and Joochan.
To celebrate the new year, Jangjun and Joochan released a special video.
The members didn’t shy away from what had happened, as Jangjun explained, “We’ve got way fewer members now, you know?” before Joochan added, “It feels so empty.”
Then, despite being two, they introduced themselves in the standard way Golden Child always did.
If that wasn’t enough, when introducing themselves, Joochan said he was the maknae, a role that previously went to Bomin.
In the comments of the video, netizens found it heartbreaking that content that was meant to be fun could hurt so much, seeing two idols introduce themselves as Golden Child while acknowledging the huge loss of members they had. As expected, many blamed Woollim but tried to be positive that at least they were getting content.
