With the rise of K-Pop and K-Dramas worldwide, many people have an idea that all Korean men look like that.

Recently, a TikTok user shared a video about their trip to Korea with the caption, “On my way to Seoul to fall in love with a Korean man.” The video then showed the OP taking videos of different men with a version of the Titanic song, alluding that they weren’t good-looking or what she expected from Korean men.

When the video was shared on X, it garnered a lot of attention and, specifically, a lot of criticism. Many shared how disrespectful it was to film Korean men without their permission just to taunt their visuals compared to the creator’s “standards” of a Korean man.

Many believe the OP was very disrespectful on her visit, especially filming men and seemingly criticizing their visuals as it doesn’t suit the “stereotype” she expected.
