Top Actor Addresses His K-Drama’s “Humiliating” Low Ratings In Scathing Post

Popular actor Namgoong Min has broken his silence following criticism over the low viewership ratings of his latest K-Drama, Our Movie, currently airing on SBS.

In a recent article that began circulating online, a reporter pointed out the show’s disappointing performance.
The show recorded a viewership rating of 3.0% that day. This marks a 1.2 percentage point drop from the previous 4.2%. Compared to the final episode of the previous K-Drama The Haunted Palace, which hit 11%, it didn’t even manage to reach a third of that.

The article’s headline also gained a lot attention for its harsh tone: “Viewership Slashed By Two-Thirds… Namgoong Min Faces Last Place on Public TV Humiliation, Pleads ‘Please Don’t Give Up On Us’”
In response, Namgoong Min took to Instagram to address both the report and the unexpectedly low viewership ratings for Our Movie. Sharing a screenshot of the article, the actor wrote a direct and scathing message.
Despite the eye-catching headline, I can tell you actually watched our show, thank you so much.
Even though our ratings are currently low, I still have full confidence. So please, just keep watching with interest until episode 5. And if there’s still no clear turnaround by then, feel free to scold me even harsher than calling it a ‘humiliating last place.’ It will be my responsibility.

While Our Movie may not have had a strong start, Namgoong Min’s strong public stance and backing has sparked renewed interest — and viewers may now tune in just to see if the drama can prove itself in the coming episodes. You can watch the trailer for Our Movie below!
