Top Actor Refutes Explosive Assault Accusations By Ex-Girlfriend

Musical actor Jeon Ho Jun has refuted claims made by his ex-girlfriend, referred to as “A,” by releasing a photo showing his bloodied face.
On May 25, Jeon uploaded the photo to his personal social media with the caption: “This is a photo taken by police as evidence around 5 AM on May 24, 2025, after confirming the scene of assault as accused by A.” In the photo, Jeon Ho-joon’s face is covered in blood, with blood running down from his head and smeared near his eye.

He also released a lengthy statement about the matter and denied abuse. Instead, he explained that they had been in an altercation as A had tried to enter his house at the wee hours.
Hello,
This is musical actor Jeon Ho-joon.Around 4.40am on May 24, 2025, a Saturday, an incident occurred. Less than a day later, Ms. A posted a one-sided account of the situation on social media. That post has since spread through the media, leading to the indiscriminate exposure of my private life. I feel deeply fearful as unverified claims continue to circulate without any filter.
While the audio recording I released contains parts that may be misinterpreted as me bluntly using profanity, those words were spoken within the specific context of the situation. The reason I released the audio and photo yesterday without further explanation was because I hoped people would assess the full context of the events, rather than relying solely on the claims shared on social media.
The alleged assault described by Ms. A occurred during an attempt to prevent her from forcibly entering my home during the early morning hours. Initially, I tried to de-escalate the situation, but physical conflict became unavoidable and led to a struggle, during which I also suffered injuries, including bleeding from my face and head. The photo I shared is only a small part of the evidence that police documented directly at the scene.
What happened between Ms. A and me falls within the realm of personal matters, and I do not wish to, nor do I intend to, publicly reveal every detail of our private relationship. However, due to the rapid spread of misinformation and repeated misunderstandings within just a day, I felt the need to clarify my position and release some evidence to a necessary extent.
I acknowledge that there was a physical altercation between us. Still, the incident was an unavoidable physical confrontation that occurred while I was trying to stop someone from unlawfully entering my home at dawn. My actions were in self-defense. The photos of injuries posted by Ms. A on social media cannot fully convey the urgency and context of the situation, and the audio recording I released—though it only captures the sound—also has its limitations in conveying the full scope and flow of the incident. I chose to release even the parts of the recording that may be interpreted unfavorably toward me because I wanted the truth to be seen without distortion.
The flood of media coverage and relentless contact over the past day has caused me significant emotional stress and distress. However, if the spread of false claims and distorted narratives continues, I must firmly state that I will take strong action to protect both my work and the people around me as an actor.
To everyone who has been concerned and watching this unfold, I sincerely apologize.
I hope that what I’ve shared helps clear up at least some of the misunderstandings.— Jeon Ho Jun
Previously, on May 24, A claimed on her personal channel that she was extorted by Jeon for about ₩10.0 million KRW (about $7,320 USD) and that she was assaulted when she visited him the previous night while he was intoxicated. She also released a doctor’s note, a handwritten police statement, and photos of injuries she claimed were from the assault, causing a stir. You can read more about it below.
