Top K-Pop Choreographers Address Marriage Rumors After Dropping Wedding Photos
Choreographers Lia Kim and Choi Young Joon, two of the most popular choreographers in the K-Pop industry, have finally addressed the questions surrounding their wedding photos that were posted out of the blue on January 3, 2026.
Since the two had no prior dating rumors, the wedding photoshoot left many shocked, including idols like SEVENTEEN‘s Hoshi and Choi Yena. The caption, “2026.1.24,” also added fuel to the fire, as it appeared to be the date of their wedding.
Hoshi: “Huh???????”
Yena: “FR????”
The duo finally addressed all the confusion surrounding the pictures through a light-hearted video on their social media. Dressed in their wedding outfits, the two started the video saying, “Everyone! Surprise!.. We finally got married…to dance!”

They proceeded to explain that the wedding photoshoot was a fun promotional stunt to announce the upcoming 2025 Choreo Awards, an esteemed event celebrating the choreography and dance industry of Korea. Kim and Choi are the co-hosts at the event, which will be held on January 24, 2026, at the YES24 Live Hall in Seoul.
In the same video, Lia Kim clarified that they were just close friends and there was no romance involved. Choi joked, “But wasn’t the vibe real enough to cause misunderstandings?” to which Kim responded, “Absolutely not.”
The pair’s playful chemistry has teased the anticipation of fans who are now excited to see them as co-hosts at the 2025 Choreo Awards.
