Tragic Museum Accident Divides The Internet
An extremely unfortunate (and expensive) incident recently took place at a museum in Beijing.

A 2-kilogram phoenix-shaped crown is made entirely of gold by her Zhang Yudong, Based on the current gold prices, the crown is valued at nearly two million yuan ($280,000 USD), with labor costs estimated between 200,000 and 400,000 yuan ($28,000–$56,000 USD).

However, chaos began when a young boy and his mother visited the crown at the exhibition.
He continually put his face up against the display.
When he went to wipe the display case so his mother could take a photo, the entire display came crashing down. The crown was destroyed.
The incident sparked online debate, with some blaming the mother and child, while others criticized the museum for not securing the display case properly. However, they decided to not press charges on the family as the insurance company, the museum, the artist, and his wife will collectively share the loss.
