TREASURE’s Philippine Concert Organizers Update Ticket Prices After Facing Massive Backlash

Here are the details.

Live Nation PH, the concert organizers of TREASURE‘s upcoming Hello concert in Manila, Philippines, have finally responded to the backlash they received about their high ticket pricing.

The April 15 concert of the YG Entertainment group was originally priced from ₱3,500 PHP (around $65 USD) to ₱19,500 PHP (around $358 USD).

This was more expensive than Philippine concerts of more senior groups such as SEVENTEEN and BLACKPINK, two artists whose events were also handled by the same company.

Criticism from Pinoy TEUMEs followed promptly. They took to social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter to call for a more reasonable price list.

The company and its representatives have since hinted through private messages with fans that they may adjust the costs soon.

This was confirmed on January 18 with an update on their social media pages, saying that they have lowered the prices “to ensure [a] better experience” for the fans. The announcement came a day before the fandom pre-sale on January 19.

The organizers removed four price tiers in the upper box, lower box, and VIP sections and lowered the prices by several hundred or thousand pesos. Lower Box A Premium and Regular, for instance, are now a combined section and cost ₱13,500 PHP (around $248 USD) instead of ₱14,500 PHP-₱15,250 PHP (around $267 USD to $280 USD).

Pinoy fans have responded in various ways, with some expressing their gratitude for the change.

Most of all, many fans noted the power of banding together to ensure their voices were heard.

This will be TREASURE’s first solo concert in Manila. They previously visited the country as one of three acts of K-Pop Masterz In Manila last July 2022.

Tickets for 2023 TREASURE TOUR Hello In Manila will go on sale from January 19 to 21.
