Active Girl Group Member Wants To Work Part-Time Jobs Despite Her Full-Fledged Idol Career
In her latest interview, tripleS‘s Park Sohyun surprised fans by admitting she still wants to take on part-time jobs, revealing how her past work experiences shaped her perspective both as an idol and as a person.

Beyond her full-fledged K-Pop idol-ness and her strong academic background, Park Sohyun also has an impressive résumé of part-time jobs—over seven in total—including working at cafés, family restaurants, and even handing out perfume testers. She says those experiences have greatly helped her both in her career and in life.
I’m not naturally very social, and I’m not the type to approach people warmly. But working part-time jobs broadened my empathy.
— Park Sohyun
These experiences nourished Park Sohyun not just as a singer but also as a human being. She learned not to become consumed by any single path, realizing that even if she ended up doing something else, it wouldn’t be the end of the world. She even said she would still like to work part-time if circumstances allowed.
It was stressful at the time, but I like trying new things. When I’m bored, I even look at job postings. I think, ‘You need at least these skills,’ or ‘People earn this much for this kind of work.’
— Park Sohyun
While many idols leave their pre-debut lives behind, Park Sohyun remains grateful for the lessons her part-time jobs taught her. As tripleS continues to expand its global presence, her grounded mindset and long-term perspective suggest she’s determined to grow not just as an idol but as a person, without ever losing sight of where she started.
