No one saw it coming…

TWICE’s Dahyun is drawing unexpected praise from Korean netizens after a short acting clip from her latest K-Drama began circulating online.

Dahyun currently stars in Love Me, a slice-of-life JTBC melodrama that premiered on December 19, 2025.

The drama follows a woman who appears to live a perfect life on the surface, while secretly struggling with deep loneliness and emotions she is afraid to confront. Dahyun plays Ji Hye On, one of the drama’s six lead characters.

Although Dahyun has appeared in acting projects before, reactions to her scene in Love Me suggest many viewers did not anticipate this level of performance.

The viral clip shows her sharing a meal with a male character, relying on pointed expressions and natural dialogue delivery rather than dramatic gestures. It was this subtlety that seemingly caught netizens off guard.

Viewers pointed out that Dahyun felt comfortable on screen, with stable vocal delivery and an ease that did not feel “idol-like.” Some even commented that she blended in seamlessly as an actress rather than standing out as a K-Pop idol trying her hand at acting.
