TXT Spills On The Fellow Celebrities They Hope To Meet At The 2022 AMAs

The group had four iconic artists in mind.

TXT appeared for the first time at the 50th annual American Music Awards, and received a nomination for a new category on the award show, “Favorite K-Pop Artist.”

TXT hit the red carpet for the 2022 American Music Awards earlier today and immediately captured fans and locals with their stunning visuals and unreal proportions.

In interviews with media on the red carpet, the talented group was calm and poised and showcased their humble personalities when expressing their gratitude for their attendance at the AMAs and the nomination they received.

The group also teased their upcoming album, which is set to be released in January 2023. Although they didn’t share much about it, besides that it was “top secret,” they did tell MOAs to expect it to be “really amazing.”

TXT was especially excited to be at an event with so many fellow incredible artists.

With so many talented celebrities gathered for one event, the question of who TXT hoped to meet naturally came up. During their interview with Entertainment Tonight, the group spilled on who they were excited to meet and possibly take a selfie with.

The group answered in unison that they hoped to meet legendary American singer-songwriter, Stevie Wonder, who had a collaboration stage with American artist Charlie Puth. The two performed the song “We Are The World” in tribute to fellow legendary artist, Lionel Richie.

TXT also added that they would love to meet Charlie Puth and the American pop-rock band Imagine Dragons, who also performed at the AMAs.

In a separate red-carpet interview with the Today Show, leader Soobin had the most adorable reaction to the interviewer bringing up his ultimate idol, American singer-songwriter Bebe Rexha.

The interviewer hilariously asked if Soobin was “freaking out” about the fact Bebe Rexha was in attendance, to which Soobin enthusiastically replied, “I can’t wait at all! [I’m] so so happy today.”

In an interview with Spotify, Soobin again mentioned Bebe Rexha, and the comment was noticed by the artist herself who reposted his adorable interview on her Instagram story.

Soobin later got to live out his fanboy dreams as he got to watch Bebe Rexha live, and confessed during a Weverse live broadcast after the awards that he took over 30 photos of her stage on his phone.

This isn’t the first time TXT have lived their ultimate fan dreams. Check out the article below for more on Soobin’s imaginative “y/n moment” at IU‘s “The Golden Hour” concert.
