TXT’s Yeonjun Finally Meets NewJeans On “Inkigayo” But It’s Not The First Time He’s Met Maknae Hyein
Despite all of the controversies surrounding HYBE‘s sub-label ADOR‘s new girl group NewJeans, the members have instantly captured the hearts of netizens with their visuals, talent, and personality.
In particular, the group has been showcasing all these skills through their music show performances. Their recent stage on Inkigayo was no different as each member showcased their unique personalities and why they are a group to be taken seriously.
Like all debuting groups, NewJeans had a special interview alongside MCs TXT‘s Yeonjun, Roh Jeong Eui, and Seo Bum June. As expected, despite being rookies, all the members had shined with their personalities and seemed to work perfectly with the MCs.
Yet, one member had netizens talking after the group’s interview, and it was none other than maknae Hyein. Since she was announced as a member, netizens have found old clips from the idol and have fallen in love with her bubbly personality.
In particular, she gained attention for being a true K-Pop fan and fangirling over idol groups like any other netizen.
After NewJeans’ interview on Inkigayo, netizens were shocked to find out that although it was their first time on the show, it wasn’t Hyein’s first interaction with one of the MCs.
It seems as if the idol has a surprising past with none other than fellow HYBE idol TXT’s Yeonjun.
Before debuting in NewJeans, Hyein appeared on many children’s variety shows, including one called Boni Hani Game Expedition.
During one of the episodes, the special guests were none other than TXT. During the video, the members of TXT had some fun playing games, performing, and interacting with the other people on the show, including Hyein.
There was one interaction between Yeonjun and Hyein that netizens couldn’t believe happened. TXT is a young K-Pop group but Yeonjun finally felt old after asking Hyein how old she was and realizing that she was an 08′ liner who was still in elementary school.
She was also lucky enough to get a selfie with Yeonjun, and nobody could’ve predicted that they would meet again.
Considering that in another video, she also proved to have the most relatable fangirl reaction to seeing Yeonjun appear on a screen, Hyein is truly living the dream.
After realizing the connection between the two and that Inkigayo was actually a reunion for Hyein and Yeonjun, they couldn’t hide their pride at how far both idols have come. Yeonjun is one of the hottest idols in K-Pop, and Hyein is now being interviewed by one of her idols.

It meant that when Yeonjun did a TikTok challenge with NewJeans, but Hyein wasn’t in it, many shared their disappointment that they couldn’t see a direct interaction between the two.

Hyein has proved to be the most successful fangirl after going from fangirling about idol groups to being in one herself. Hopefully, as both are HYBE artists, it won’t be the last interaction between Yeonjun and Hyein. Who knows, maybe they’ll even talk about the past video.
