Born to a father of Portuguese and Chinese descent from Macau and a Korean mother, Alexander’s background is as diverse as his talents. He was born in Hong Kong and grew up in Macau before moving to the United States for his education. At the age of 19, he relocated to South Korea to pursue his dreams in the music industry.
Since their debut in 2008 with the single “Not Young,” U-KISS has become a staple in the K-Pop scene. They gained significant popularity with their hit “Man Man Ha Ni,” which helped them stand out among their peers, including groups like BEAST and INFINITE.
Over the years, U-KISS has experienced numerous member changes, which led to them fading from the spotlight. However, they made a notable resurgence in 2020 when their earlier performances became viral online, reminding fans of their enduring talent.
With their 16th anniversary on the horizon, U-KISS is preparing to release their 13th mini-album, LET’S GET STARTED, on June 25. Despite the sorrowful circumstances, Alexander and his group are determined to demonstrate the enduring spirit of second-generation K-Pop idols.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to Alexander and his family during this time of grief.
