USA Today names 11 Asian stars that Hollywood should pay attention to
USA Today has named 11 incredible Asian stars that Hollywood should pay attention to, and some of Korea’s best actors have made the list.
Representation in Hollywood has always been one of the most problematic parts of the industry, and now the call has been put out to Hollywood, asking the industry to switch up the silver screen faces audiences are used to seeing.
Some popular Korean actors made the list, including fan favorite Lee Byung Hun.
Lee Byung Hun is known for his roles in popular K-Dramas such as Iris but has found footing in Hollywood in hit films like The Magnificent Seven and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.
When asked about what it was like to work in the American film industry, Lee noted the difference between American and Korean reception.
“…it’s like I’m starting again… I’ve been acting for 25 years but it’s really hard, language-wise and the culture differences. I think I’m still getting adjusted. I’m ready to learn.”

Other actors that made the list include Pom Klementieff, the gorgeous half-Korean actress playing Mantis in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 film; as well as American-born Justin Chon who first found his place in Hollywood as Eric in the Twilight saga.
