Veteran Actress Kim Ji Mee Passes Away In The United States
Actress Kim Ji Mee has passed away at the age of 85.
According to the film industry on the 10th, Kim Ji Mee passed away in the United States.
She made her debut in 1957 with director Kim Ki Young’s film “Twilight Train” and appeared in approximately 700 films until the 1990s.
She showcased her talent across genres—from literary films to melodramas, action films, and historical dramas—and won multiple Best Actress awards at major domestic film festivals such as the Grand Bell Awards, Blue Dragon Film Awards, and Baeksang Arts Awards.
Beyond acting, she founded the production company Ji Mee Film and served as a commissioner of the Korean Film Council, exerting significant influence on the Korean film industry as a whole.
