Veteran Actress Reveals Why She Regretted Donating Luxury Items To Charity

A popular actress recently shared a story about her donated items ending up in the wrong place.

On May 15, KST, actress Go So Young uploaded a video on her YouTube channel, sharing some off-camera anecdotes from her past.

She talked about her love for fashion, especially for designer jeans. Go revealed that she owned many vintage pieces, showcasing her genuine passion.

The actress then mentioned her past philanthropy, when she used to donate many of her luxury fashion items. However, she admitted that she ended up regretting it after a particular incident.

Go explained that before she had a daughter, she used to give away a lot of her luxury clothes. But once, during her trip to Japan, she saw one of her pieces in a vintage shop being sold for a whopping ₩10.0 million KRW (about $7,150 USD).

When I went to a Japanese antique shop, I saw they were selling the clothes I donated at the charity bazaar for 10 million won.

The actress honestly admitted that the experience was disappointing, even though she tried to laugh it off.

However, the incident didn’t change her giving nature. Go explained that even after that, she would often buy rare clothing items from overseas just to give them away to others who she thought would pull them off better than her. “As long as they wear it well, it’s fine,” she added.
