5th Gen Idol’s “Exposed Bra” Fashion Week Look Triggers Harsh Reactions

Recently, a viral tweet from a fan has garnered attention.

In the post, the fan was praising Gawon’s natural beauty, seemingly “shading” beauty standards that are often linked

Yet, it sparked a major debate as many Koreans took offence to the tweet, sharing how they didn’t understand how foreign fans loved K-Pop but always insisted on hating what is deemed “Korean” style. They also added that while international fans complain that Korean fans are obsessed with looks and skin color, the viral tweet seemingly shows the opposite.

These foreign stans are starting again. Drop that inferiority complex you have about Korea and just admit your own insecurity.

What I really don’t get about people like this is: if you hate ‘typical Korean style’ so much, why are you more obsessed with Korean idols than anyone else?
If you’re bitter enough to write ‘no aegyosal’ in your bio, wouldn’t it make more sense to stan foreign celebrities who don’t draw aegyosal and actually fit your standards?

Koreans don’t even think about idols’ skin tone at all, but people like this obsessively separate and judge female idols one by one based on skin color, jawline, and whatever, then use their own weird prejudices to bash Korea.
The ones who are insane about looks aren’t Koreans, it’s people like you.
If you want to trash Koreans so badly, stop tearing apart innocent female idols piece by piece just to do it.

Honestly, seeing stuff like this, they’re even more obsessed with appearance than Koreans lol. Absolute lunatics.

It even sparked major opinions among international fans, with some supporting Korean fans and now understanding how you can be a fan of K-Pop culture but belittle the Korean culture.

Yet, some believed the response “showed” just the extent of the beauty standards.
