Tory Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence in California for shooting popular star Megan Thee Stallion in 2020. He was convicted in December 2022 on multiple charges, including assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and was sentenced in August 2023. His most recent appeal was denied in November 2025, leaving him incarcerated.

As a result, international netizens only had scathing comments about Woojin.

The news also reached Korean netizens, who similarly did not hold back from criticizing the rookie idol.

Holy f*ck, you piece of sh*t. I didn’t even know who you were because I had zero interest, but if you ever cross my path, you’re dead, Woojin from LNGSHOT. A guy who went to prison for shooting a woman is your role model? Why are you even an idol? Just go shoot women instead, lol.
