“Love Your W” Party Reported To Have Excluded Actress Park Bo Young Due To An Astoundingly Superficial Reason

It was all due to her outfit.

The glitzy Love Your W Party breast cancer awareness campaign hosted annually by W Korea is facing major backlash after Dispatch revealed that an actresswas denied access to the red carpet and photowall in 2024 over a shocking reason — she had failed to wear the stockings that was provided by a brand sponsor.

According to reports, the 2024 event required celebrities to wear full outfits provided by a sponsor brand named only as “V,” down to their stockings. However, the actress in question reportedly couldn’t fit into the provided pair and decided to attend the event bare-legged.

In response, W Korea staff allegedly refused to let her pose on the photo wall, claiming that full-body shots weren’t allowed without stockings. As a result, only cropped upper-body features of the actress at the party, outside of the photowall, were posted on the magazine’s official channels. She did not receive any individual focus or feature. It was only when a fellow actor’s SNS post was uploaded that her full look was revealed.

Korean media later identified this actress as Park Bo Young. Park Hyung Sik had posted a photo with her at the event.

The incident recently resurfaced following this year’s Love Your W 2025 event, which has once again come under fire for losing sight of its original cause. Critics pointed out that the supposed “breast cancer awareness campaign” had instead turned into a celebrity champagne party. As of now, W Korea has yet to release an official statement regarding the controversy, but the issue has reignited discussions about superficial standards and misplaced priorities in celebrity charity culture.
