Fans Can Soon See IU And Park Bo Gum’s Chemistry In A New Netflix K-Drama

The K-Drama takes place on Jeju Island… coincidence or destiny?

Soon, fans will be able to see their favorite actors, IU and Park Bo Gum‘s chemistry in a new K-Drama.

Earlier this year, Pan Entertainment announced that IU and Park Bo Gum would play the lead roles in a new K-Drama called You Have Done Well. On April 4, they announced that the show would be released on Netflix.

You Have Done Well takes place in the 1950s, where a rebellious Ae Soon and a dull Gwan Sik, played by IU and Park Bo Gum, respectively, live their adventurous lives on Jeju Island. It is written by Lim Sang Chun, who was loved for his work in When the Camellia Blooms, Baek Hee Has Returned, and Fight for My Way.

The director is someone IU has worked with before. Kim Won Seok, who directed Misaeng: Incomplete Life, Signal, and My Mister, will be directing the K-Drama—making it the second show the director and IU have worked with since My Mister in 2018.

With Lim Sang Chun’s writing, Kim Won Seok’s directing, and IU and Park Bo Gum’s acting, You Have Done Well is highly anticipated by K-Drama fans. Moon So Ri and Park Hae Joon will play the older versions of Ae Soon and Gwan Sik.

IU and Park Bo Gum have never acted in a K-Drama together, but they have both appeared as guests in Hyori’s Bed & Breakfast, which coincidentally took place on Jeju Island.
