HYBE and Geffen Records broke the news on August 6, revealing that the group will be formed through World Scout: The Final Piece, which will kick off with a wide-reaching audition tour across Japan, seeking exceptional talent from around the world. Top scouting teams from Hybe will spearhead the search, identifying trainees with strong potential. Those selected will participate in a tailored “K-pop-style training” program—modified for the US market—between October and December.

After that initial training, the trainees who are chosen will move on to an advanced training camp in the U.S., where they will compete for a spot in the final 2026 debut lineup. World Scout: The Final Piece will be exclusively broadcast in the spring of 2026 on the Japanese streaming platform ABEMA.

The program will capture how talented individuals grow while working alongside world-class producers.

This announcement represents the latest step in HYBE’s ongoing efforts to globalize K-Pop. In 2023, HYBE and Geffen Records launched The Debut: Dream Academy, the audition show that formed KATSEYE.
