On May 27, YG Entertainment’s Instagram sparked excitement as they started the countdown to the reveal of the first member.

At 12AM (KST) on May 28, a video was posted on YG’s Twitter with a link to the introduction of the first member, who is 15-year-old Evelli from Australia.

The young trainee showcased her talents with the song “Nosebleeds” by Doechii, seemingly showing that she would be the group’s rapper.

It ended with a profile, sharing that Evelli is an all-rounder. The attention was on the fact that she has trained with YG for two years despite being so young, and the “leader” comment could hint at her role.

Some fans shared excitement at the potential of Evelli, considering how young she is.

Yet, many fans criticized the introduction after realizing just how young the star is, at only 15. It isn’t uncommon for idols to debut young, and BABYMONSTER‘s Chiquita debuted at an even younger age, but it sparked anger from fans due to the harsh world of K-Pop.

There were also concerns that the song was not appropriate for someone so young.
