Yoon Eun Hye is exciting early 2000’s fans with the mention of her former love-line partner, Kim Jong Kook.
The former girl group member recently went on SBS Love FM‘s Heo Ji Woong Show, where she talked about a variety of different topics. The DJ of the radio show, Heo Ji Woong asked Yoon Eun Hye about her debut at 16-years-old and the hardships she endured during the time.
That was the first time I ever experienced real life. It was also the first time I did things with unfamiliar people. Surprisingly enough, I endured it well. I would cry by myself and break down by myself.
— Yoon Eun Hye
The former Baby V.O.X member also talked about her life as an actress and the criticisms she received, especially during her production, Princess Hours.
I was known as the ‘strong and mighty girl’ so people at the time didn’t understand why I was portraying a princess. I thought being strong was a bad thing.
— Yoon Eun Hye
The 36-year-old actress has been thriving as a single woman, but with that said, the inevitable topic of her ideal type was brought up during her time on the radio program.
I want someone who has similar values and perspectives as me. I am timid so I would like someone who is fun and can lead me. If my future husband likes Korean and non-Korean food, I can cook both for him.
— Yoon Eun Hye
Heo Ji Woong naturally followed up by asking Yoon Eun Hye about her former love-line with Kim Jong Kook during their X-Man times, to which she had the sweetest things to say about the Turbo member.
I think he’s such a cool person. It’s been 9 years since I stopped drinking alcohol. Kim Jong Kook doesn’t drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes. He’s so diligent about his self-care. I like people like that.
— Yoon Eun Hye
Yoon Eun Hye and Kim Jong Kook were previously put into a “love-line” during their time together on X-Man. The two of them shared a similar strong and mighty image, leading to their onscreen “relationship.” Their television pairing eventually became so iconic, that their faux love story began expanding outside of the X-Man and into other shows. This fake onscreen relationship became so well-loved and popular, that the two eventually got embroiled in a real dating scandal.
Even decades later, it seems that the two still can’t get away from the popularity of their former “love story” that happened ages ago.
