Idol-Turned-Actress Reveals She Planted An Unscripted Kiss On Gong Yoo

The latest episode of MBC‘s The Manager (also known as Point of Omniscient Interfere or Omniscient Interfering View) featured Baby V.O.X‘s Yoon Eunhye and her long-time manager. There, Yoon Eunhye ended up revealing a behind-the-scenes secret about her co-star Gong Yoo.

During a car ride to the manager’s grandmother’s house, Yoon Eunhye asked her manager which scene from her most popular K-Dramas, Princess Hours and Coffee Prince, was their favorite.

The manager picked a kiss scene from Coffee Prince, saying, “It was kind of risqué” and, therefore, extra memorable to her.

Didn’t Eun Chan (Yoon Eunhye’s character) slip her hand under Han Kyul’s (Gong Yoo’s character) back? She was the one leading the moment. I was amazed by how she pulled it off.

On the other hand, Yoong Eunhye picked the consummation scene in Princess Hours…

…as well as the rooftop dinner scene (which follows the manager’s favorite scene) in Coffee Prince as her favorites. That’s when Yoon Eunhye explained that she got so immersed in the role and carried away in the moment that she ended up planting an unscripted kiss on Gong Yoo!

So Eun Chan and Han Kyul are eating at the table and having a sweet conversation, and then I get carried on Han Kyul’s back. [It wasn’t in the script, but that’s when,] without even realizing it, I kissed Gong Yoo.

As some of The Manager show hosts pointed out that the two weren’t even facing the cameras when it happened (and poking fun at how Yoon Eunhye clearly must have had ulterior motives), Yoon Eunhye agreed that it raised questions on set—especially from her co-star Chae Jung An.

After seeing that, Jung An unnie even asked, ‘Are you two dating?’ because it looked so real! She was like, ‘It’s impossible to act like that if there’s nothing going on between you two.’ But that’s when I realized that I’d kissed him. I was so deep into character.
