Stray Kids recently returned with KARMA, releasing the music video for “Ceremony.” The group has already recorded over 2 million sales in the first day alone, heading towards another record breaking first week of sales.

The group also announced that they will be releasing a single album of remixes of “Ceremony,” which has been met with some mixed reactions.

However, one reaction has caused some controversy, mainly for seemingly mentioning another JYP Entertainment group — TWICE.

Shortly after the announcement, YouTube Music‘s official X account replied to the tweet, saying that fans were going to “eat TWICE in one week.”

The surface meaning referred to the group releasing things in the same week, saying that fans were going to “eat” well.

On the other hand, some saw the capitalization of the word TWICE as a hit towards the girl group, taking the tweet as “shade.” This was likely worsened by beliefs that the company was attempting to challenge TWICE’s records with the release of multiple versions of “Ceremony,” a method used by artists to push for better positions on charts.

As of writing, the YouTube has not addressed the viral accusations.
