Multiple Celebrity Deaths Under The Same Agency Spark Murder Allegations
On September 11, the management team for actor Yu Menglong (also known as Alan Yu) confirmed that he had passed away at 37 years old. Since then, the rumors about Yu’s death have grown to involve several other deceased celebrities.

Internet sleuths presented video clips as “evidence” that Yu Menglong’s fatal fall was not accidental, including one of Yu allegedly screaming. Another deleted video, which was screen-recorded by a netizen, is rumored to show the moments leading up to Yu’s death.

On September 16, Yu’s mother publicly addressed his death. In her statement, she says Yu fell from the building after drinking alcohol and asked the public to refrain from speculation. Even so, celebrities, legal experts, and netizens have continued to raise alarm bells.
Actress Injured After Hinting That Yu Menglong’s Death Was Not An Accident
Over the past two decades, several young artists under Yu’s agency, Tianyu Media (EE-Media), have died under similar circumstances. In 2006, singer Tan Beixi died in a so-called “unusual car accident.”
In 2011, actor Shang Yubo reportedly jumped to his death after wandering the rooftop of a high rise for three hours.
In 2015, rising star Bian Ce died after falling from a building in Tianjin, China. In 2016, singer Ben Xi reportedly died after jumping from her residence on Christmas Eve, just days after promoting her new music during a live broadcast. Her death was ruled a suicide.
That same year, singer-actor Qiao Renliang was found dead in his Shanghai home. Police confirmed that Qiao had died by suicide.
In 2017, actress Jiao Ren fell from a hotel in Suzhou, China. After a two-month-long investigation, police determined that Jiao had accidentally fallen to her death while intoxicated.
In 2019, actress Lu Jiayong went missing after she shared posts online about her stress-induced struggles in the entertainment industry. To this day, there have been no official updates about Lu. Singer Cai Chong suddenly passed away in 2020, and hardly any official explanation was provided to the public. Now, Yu Menglong has become the ninth EE-Media celebrity to die (or disappear) under allegedly dubious circumstances.
EE-Media has not commented on the growing speculation surrounding its deceased stars.
