Korean Rapper Goes Viral For Singing The Most Unexpected Song In Japan

This is what you call real hip-hop.

Most recently, one of Japan’s largest summer festivals, A-NATION 2025, took place at Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo.

It is one of the largest annual outdoor events known for its diverse artist lineup.

In particular, Korean singer Zico’s performance went viral on online Korean community sites, garnering almost 100,000 views.

It turns out he sang his song, “Turtle Ship,” which refers to the historical Korean warship, the Geobukseon, whose design was credited to Admiral Yi Sun Shin.

Fans were shocked to see him sing a patriotic song in Japan.

F*ck, Zico is singing ‘Turtle Ship’ in Japan?

While people around me cried while watching ‘Demon Slayer’, I am crying alone watching Zico sing ‘Turtle Ship.’

This really looks like waves of debt rippling, and the red stage Zico is standing on feels like the Turtle Ship. But because this is Japan, he looks like a truly patriotic, country-loving super star.

K-Netizens praised him for his bold move at a concert abroad.
